How good are you at engineering?

Your challenge: design a 'moon lander' spacecraft that can carry a precious egg cargo safely to the ground from a great height.

A fun workshop where children learn how NASA engineers design spacecraft to land on extraterrestrial planets. Specifically tests children's ability to problem solve using a set amount of materials and a time limit.

Content covers deceleration, crumple zones, cushioning, retro rockets, extraterrestrial atmospheres and current NASA space missions.

Requirements

- Appropriate for children aged 7 years and up, maximum 30 students

- 2 tables arranged around the front of the room

- Chairs not required

- Duration 45 minutes

- Set up time 20 minutes and pack up time 30 minutes

Cost

- $245 inc. GST for the first programme.
- $200 inc. GST for each successive programme on the same day & venue.
