Named after Leaellyn Rich who was the daughter of the paleontologists Tom Rich and Patricia Vickers who found the first skull. It is suggested that it's large eyes may have assisted the dinosaur's sight during the dark winter months that occured when parts of Australia were close to the South Pole. Herbivorous.
