An interactive hands-on workshop for primary school where students get look at all sorts of things up close!

We can structure this workshop around microbes should your class be studying this topic or otherwise students can rotate in pairs or threes around the 10 digital microscopes to observe;

- your student's own hair and skin
- leaves, flowers, stems, algae, seaweed
- feathers, scales
- coca cola, coffee and tea stains
- nylon, polyester, acrylic, silk, foam and wool
- insect legs, abdomen and wings
- fungus, beans, rice
- microfilm, newspaper and magazine clippings
+ much more!

We discuss why the observed structures are present with the students sketching and labelling their specimens. Often the excitement builds through the workshop as the students realise there is much more than meets the eye. Even seemingly mundane objects having amazing qualities under the microscope!

This engaging workshop offers primary students a chance to be introduced to microscopes in a fun atmosphere.

This performance can also be viewed as a LIVE web conference anywhere in the world!
