Status
Common in eastern and south-western Australia.
Habitat
Wet and dry eucalypt i.e. 'sclerophyll' forests, rainforests, parks, open & closed woodlands and watercourses.
Food Source
Carnivorous; small reptiles, mammals and insects.
Nests
Nest made in a level tree hollow up to 20 metres high.
Generally 2 to 3 white rounded eggs.
Breeds September to January.
