Wedge-tailed Eagle
Description

Australia's largest eagle, with a wing span of up to 2.8 meters.
Predatory bird, feeding on small vertebrate animals grabbed by powerful talons.

Nests

Breeds June to October. Large nest of sticks and Eucalypt spp. leaves in a fork or limb of a tall tree.
In inland areas the nest can be found in lower scrub and even the ground. 1 to 3 white eggs with streaked or spotted colours of red-brown and lavender.
