Status

Least concern.
Eastern and Southern Australia.
Declinging in Central Australia.

Habitat

Environments with trees, including forests in cities, towns and farmland areas.
Description

An arboreal mammal with a highly varied fur colour and length i.e. silver/grey to yellow/orange.
Eats mostly leaves of a wide variety of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants but will also consume flowers and fruits. Dens are generally in a tree hollow or similar shelter (including residential housing), with 'dreys' being made in thick scrub. Breeds autumn to spring.
