March to July. Pale yellow spike up to 10cm high.
Habitat
Found commonly throughout the Sydney region on sandstone and Castlereagh soils. The underside of the variably toothed leaves have a thick rusty felt running along the main leaf vein.
Stands to 2 metres.
Can be confused with Banksia integrifolia and Banksia serrata.
