Flowers

Greenish flowers with yellow anthers in a terminal panicle of umbels.

Habitat

An erect shrub that can be found up to 2 metres high. Often is a major component of sandstone woodlands in sheltered gullies. The wood is quite tough, with early settlers using it for axe handles and other hard wearing implements.

The hariless, toothed leaves are pinnate, with variation of 5 - 7 leaflets and a pair of stipule-like leaves at the base of the branch.
