As a business that works to spark interest in science for students around Australia & beyond, we’re proud to be a B1G1 project partner in furnishing science labs for rural and tribal schools around the Bombay district. This project is managed by the Bombay Mothers and Children Society, whereby they identify and support schools in need of science lab equipment. Thus far, science labs have been built in four schools, benefitting 665 students. This project is part of our focus to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In this case, furnishing science labs directly contributes to SDG4 – Quality Education. We are proud to be a contributing partner! As a teacher, you can help your students contribute to the UN SDGs through classroom activities & collaborative projects. Want to support our work? Have us visit your organisation to run a STEM program with your students! About B1G1 B1G1 is a global initiative that provides a way for businesses & their customers can support registered charities around the world. The model is simple; 100% of the project payments go directly to charities and the businesses support B1G1 directly through a separate payment. Full transparency is paramount, with the charities undergoing a rigorous assessment. These charities then post their projects to be supported by businesses who set up processes to link their regular business activity to donations. There are 500+ high-impact B1G1 causes that businesses can support! More about The Bombay Mothers & Children’s Society Established in 1919, the Bombay Mothers and Children Welfare Society has grown from just a mother and child welfare organization to an institution that caters to the growing needs of the weaker sections of the society, while retaining its basic ideology of healthy growth and development of the mother and the child. They are there to serve the needy. They do this with two entities, one working in the city area and the other in a rural area.
