Human Body – Organs & Body Systems Enquire Now 🫀 Biological Science: Human Anatomy & Systems Organs & Body Systems Respiratory, Circulatory and Digestive Physiology How does a collection of organs work together to sustain life? In this advanced biology workshop, your classroom becomes a medical laboratory. Students move beyond individual parts to explore the complex systems that manage our energy, oxygen, and nutrients. Through hands-on investigation of anatomical models and physiological challenges, students gain a deep appreciation for the “engineering” of the human body. We focus on how the heart, lungs, and digestive tract respond to environmental stimuli and physical activity, illustrating the vital link between structure and function. Hands-On Station Activities: Major Organs: Identify the specific roles of the heart, lungs, and stomach. System Synergy: Explore how the respiratory and circulatory systems collaborate. Response to Exercise: Measure physiological changes during physical activity. Nutrient Path: Map the journey of food through the human digestive system. Adaptive Biology: Learn how human structural adaptations aid our survival. Looking for other Anatomy focuses? By investigating how specialized organs form coordinated systems, they move beyond basic diagrams to understand the real-world physiology that powers the human body. 1. The Systemic Tour Guided by our expert presenter, students conduct a deep-dive exploration of a professional torso model. We map the pathways of the cardiovascular, digestive, and urinary systems, while investigating how the brain acts as the master controller. 2. Diagnostic Stations Students rotate through hands-on testing zones. They measure lung capacity using professional spirometers, operate lung models to see pressure in action, and use microscopy to examine safely prepared slides of organ and blood samples. 3. Synthesis & Health We conclude by connecting cellular biology to lifestyle. Students discuss how specialized cells form the organs they’ve just studied and how we can protect these systems through nutritional science, exercise, and safety-first choices.
