He develops educational programs and materials to support students, teachers and the public in their understanding of astronomy. Part of his role is to write online educational resources in astronomy and in particular the radio astronomy and other work carried out by CASS. He runs professional development for teachers, gives presentations to teacher groups and schools and coordinates a speaker program of CASS researchers for schools and community groups. Plus he also runs the innovative PULSE@Parkes project. With interviews with leading science educators and STEM thought leaders, this science education podcast is about highlighting different ways of teaching kids within and beyond the classroom.
