From science shows to astronaut visits, we were proud to work with the STEM Enrichment Team from the NSW Department of Education to create memorable space science experiences for kids of all ages at the Young Space Explorers event during Space Day at IAC25. Fizzics Education presenting alongside the NSW Department of Education Thousands of people joined us at the ICC Sydney as they learned about University student rocket and rover teams with the NSW Space Research Network, deep space astronomy with CSIRO , astrobotany with Magnitude.io and ARC Centre of Excellence in Plants for Space, student STEM ideas for the future through the AVA Challenge, 3D printing with Makers Empire & The Andy Thomas Space Foundation, growing up in the Apollo era with Aldrin Family Foundation, mushrooms to space on the FRAM-2 mission with FOODiQ Global, algae to space with Powerhouse, virtual reality with EdgeVR, educational cubesats with Robinson Aerospace Systems and so much more! Additionally, we were proud to support the AVA Challenge being able to present about its work on engaging students through the design thinking for space. From a simple idea to bring students together during the COVID-19 lockdowns to having reached 17,000 students across 300+ schools across Australia and beyond. This program is run in partnership with the NSW Department of Education. Keira and Khushi from the AVA Challenge The intention of the day was to inspire current and future generations to engage in space and understand its importance to our everyday lives. Plus, what a great way for families to spend a day together! We invite more collaborators, schools and the space industry to get involved!
