We join your group in their familiar room for a deep dive into a specific topic. The format blends exciting demonstrations with exploratory hands-on activities run directly off your tables. Learning Objectives: Observe chemical reactions and changes. Discover how mirrors and light interact. Explore magnetic attraction and metal. Understand vibrations, sound, and energy. 10-Week Unit of Work *Returning centre? We can run a completely different set of experiments! Week 1: Sound & Vibrations Straw flutes, thunder drums, and singing rods. Week 2: Light & Colours Coloured lights, shadows, bubbles, and 3D glasses. Week 3: Chemical Change Bicarb reactions, sparklers, and slime making. Week 4: Kitchen Chemistry The disappearing water trick and cabbage juice indicators. Week 5: Energy & Forces Solar fans, stomp rockets, and gravity ramps. Week 6: Spinning Forces Spinning tops, rubber band cars, and fog rings. Week 7: Magnets Iron filings, compasses, and varying magnets. Week 8: Home Electricity Safety talks and simple battery-powered circuits. Week 9: Senses & Body Torso models, X-rays, and sherbet making. Week 10: Living Things Life cycles, leaf rubbings, and finding slaters.
