Video conferencing is now available for schools across Australia and around the world!
Any school which has a video conferencing hardware such as Tandberg, Polycom or Lifesize facilities can organise a LIVE presentation with one of our educators directly to your school. The provision of video conference excursions is highly cost effective for remote and regional schools due to the reduction in embedded travel and accommodation costs normally associated with an in-school visit.
Treat a video conference like any other excursion; parent permission slips are still needed and we still need to organise the booking date and time with you as per any other school visit.
The following links detail workshops that have been adapted for video conference presentations. Prices quoted are international rates: NSW schols are quoted at $110 due to additional support through NSW DART.
Scheduled 2011 dates
We have scheduled a number of events for NSW Public School through DART Connections, a NSW Department of Education and Training Unit that provides support for NSW public schools to access video conferences. Bookings for these particular dates must be arranged with DART Connections.
If your school is not a NSW DET school we can still run a video conference with you, all we need is the following;
- Your IP address (also known as the 'dial in' number).
- A virtual meeting room (VMR) number if available
- A date and time you wish to book.
